WAR IS OVER! If you want it.
I woke up this morning, turned on the radio, and then I thought of this poster, artwork and action by Yoko Ono and John Lennon.
What can I do in the middle of a slow moving civil war and at the dawn of WWIII? Well, in the big picture, not much, but in my little picture, so much!
Hearing of the invasion of Ukraine this morning, I’m even more inspired to work on the wars in my life; my inner fears and my often aggressive knee-jerk responses I use to “protect” these vulnerabilities, my reactions to aggressive and dangerous drivers as a bike commuter, my internal dialogue about entitled acting customers, the stories I tell myself about my family’s deep wounds.
War is in the scarcity models of love we are told are real and inevitable.
War starts and ends with me. I’m not helpless this morning.
